Meet the Teachers

MS. CORY

CORINNEHello, My name is Mrs. Corinne Arndt.  I have been a member of the Kiddie Kare A’Kademie family since 1997.  It has been a pleasure working with all the families who have entered these doors.

I married the love of my life in August 1978.  We have 2 wonderful children, Jereme and Heidi.  They are both adults and are positive members of the Kenosha community.   I look forward to being a grandmother and all it entails.

Previous to teaching at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie, I worked for the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) from 1992-1997.  I truly enjoyed working with the kindergarten children and children with special needs.  However, my passion was to be an early childhood educator.  I started to work for Kiddie Kare in the hopes to grow in my profession.  I am proud to say as of April 2011 I am Kiddie Kare’s Education Director.  I love to assist families to care for and teach their child.

I look forward to many more years!!

MS. KELSEY

KELSEYHi!  My name is Kelsey McCullough and I have been teaching at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie since 2008.  I love working with parents and their children. Since 2009 I have been teaching in the one year old classroom, it’s wonderful being with the little ones, they make me laugh!!

I have always loved caring for children since I was only 11 years old – so I have been doing it for quite some time now.  There is nothing that brings me more joy.

I am certified in Infant/Toddler and have all my training required by the State.  This includes Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS Training and other certifications.

It’s a pleasure working with the children and I look forward to the new school year and whatever it holds.

MISS AMY

AMYHello Elmo™ families! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Miss Amy (Amy Gordon) and I am working in the Elmo classroom. I have enjoyed meeting most of you and look forward to meeting those of you who I have yet to meet! I have been a teacher at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie since April 2011 and have had an amazing time with your kids! I love and care about each and every one of them!!

Just a little bit about me, I am 29 years old and married to my best friend. We have six amazing boys together, we are truly been blessed!! I had the great opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom prior to working at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie and enjoyed every minute of it! During that time, I ran an in-home daycare and did that for four years. I felt the urge to get out of the house and was soooo excited to be offered the opportunity to become a part of the Kiddie Kare A’Kademie family!! My two oldest boys came to school here when they were younger, so Kiddie Kare A’Kademie has always been dear to my heart!!

I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s life and am looking forward to partnering with you to provide your child with the best experience we possibly can! I promise you that I will love and care for each of your children. They will receive 100% from me each day I am with them. I will help them flourish mind, body & spirit!!

MS.SHAUNA

SHAUNAHello – my name is Ms. Shauna Muhlenbeck.  I have been teaching at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie since April 2011 and it is the most rewarding job I have ever had.  I have always had a strong passion for teaching children, and at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie I have done just that and more.

I am currently a student at UW-Parkside pursuing a degree in Sociology to become a child social worker.

My hobbies include: participating in activities with my Big Bird Class, spending time with my family and helping out on my boyfriend’s dairy farm.

Having 2 younger sisters is what really motivated me into teaching and being excited to watch children grow and develop into positive members of our community.  It is a truly remarkable accomplishment for me to know that I have the ability to make a difference in the lives of young children; it is something I hold near and dear to my heart.  I look forward to being a part of your child’s life!

MS. BARB

Hello!  I am Ms. Barb Caputo.  I am a single mom of 2 wonderful children, Zachary and Alyssa.  I am proud to say that they both graduated from Kiddie Kare A’Kademie and are doing wonderfully in their education in the Kenosha Public Schools.

I have been a lead teacher here at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie since June 2000.  I have been teaching children since 1990.  I have my Associates Degree in Child Care Development.  CPR and First Aid and just a couple of my many certifications.

I look forward to teaching your child here at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie!!

MS. KAREN

My name is Mrs. Karen Selby and I am very happy to be teaching here at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie.  I am the lead teacher in the Bert Room (Pre-K).

I live here in Kenosha with my husband and we are expecting our first child, December 2011.

Before starting here in April 2011, I taught middle school science for 6 years in Illinois.  At the end of those 6 years, I decided I wanted to work with younger children to renew my love of teaching.

I am so glad I made the transition to early childhood.  I look forward to meeting you and your child.
